Description:
Written for the undergraduate courses, this text integrates a variety of knowledge bases to present a holistic view of infant and toddler development and program planning. It prepares students to apply this knowledge to plan developmentally appropriate programs for infants and toddlers, to increase their awareness of the joys and concerns that families have, and to be able to communicate and support families in these settings. Special features include a systems approach that looks at children in the context of their families and environment, integrated discussions about children with disabilities, discussions on social issues, demographics, program planning, and age-range activity planning.
